Department of Public Health Dentistry

The Department of Public Health Dentistry is dedicated to bridging the gap in dental healthcare for underserved communities. We educate and provide essential oral health services through outreach programs, rural dental camps, and primary health center visits. Our initiatives focus on educating individuals about proper oral care and providing dental care services, referrals as needed. The undergraduate students and interns gain valuable experience and develop a sense of social responsibility through interactions with disadvantaged communities. We operate a mobile dental clinic that reaches remote areas. We excel in research, received ICMR funds for undergraduate research projects , winning national awards and publishing research papers at National and International journals. Future plans include collaborating with NGOs, adopting villages for oral health services, securing research grants and patents, and organizing continuing dental education programs. Join us in our mission to bring oral health to all. The motto of "Reaching the Unreached" is accomplished by this endeavor.
