Deals with diagnosis and treatment of various diseases that affect the periodontium(Gums and other tooth supporting structures). The department has many state of the art equipments like lasers, piezosurgery and magnification loupes for training the students.

The undergraduates and post graduate students are well trained in early diagnosis and prevention of periodontal diseases. The postgraduates are trained under the experienced faculty to enhance their skills in various advanced surgical procedures like periodontal plastic surgery, Implants etc.
